Congratulations to Alyosha Radchuk, Year 10 music scholar at Twyford, who has won a place in the internationally respected National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, after auditioning against fierce competition.
The Orchestra is celebrated internationally as ‘the world’s greatest orchestra of teenagers’. Each year 160 teenagers from across the UK unite through their love of music, ready to push their limits, discover new skills and play their part as changemakers for their generation. He will take part in three residencies throughout the year, perform in educational concerts for young people as part of the ‘NYO Inspire’ programme, and have the opportunity to perform with the orchestra at prestigious venues across the country, including the Barbican Centre in January, and performing in a televised concert as part of the BBC Proms series at the Royal Albert Hall next summer.
Well done, we are all very proud of you and look forward to supporting you in your NYO journey.
