The Twyford CofE Academies Trust was formed in October 2011. The Trust is based in the London Borough of Ealing and is comprised of four high-achieving schools (Twyford CofE High School, William Perkin CofE High School, Ealing Fields CofE High School and Ada Lovelace CofE High School) and the Teach West London teaching school hub - one of 87 across the country acting as a local centre of excellence for teacher training and development.
The Department of Education performance data released February 2025 shows Twyford CofE Academies Trust has a Progress 8 score of +1.11, making it the highest multi-academy trust score in the country for the third year running. It is a source of pride that we also rate as the top performing MAT in the country in terms of the progress of disadvantaged students (+0.69).
Ada Lovelace CofE High School is also home to Thames West Language Network - one of the first 15 language networks in the country.
The schools are under the ultimate authority of a Board of Directors whose job it is to ensure that the vision and values of the Trust are lived up to at each school. For more information visit Governance.
Twyford CofE Academies Trust has also been commissioned by Oak National Academy to provide its secondary English curriculum and associated resources. Following the ongoing success of the English project, from October 2024, Twyford CofE Academies Trust are supporting Cam Academy Trust, as they partner with Oak National Academy, to produce MFL resources.
William Perkin has been recognised as a national centre in Professional Development and is proud to be a Steplab Coaching Hub.
The Twyford Trust takes as its motto: ‘I have come that you should have life and life in all its fullness’.
The text is taken from John chapter 10 verse 10 and from this the Trust has created the 10:10 Ethic which is the principle that informs all Trust schools – irrespective of their different individual identities, intakes or admission criteria.
We believe that there are three Core Values in our 10:10 Ethic:
- All individuals have God-given gifts which they can develop for the good of others
- All individuals do bad things sometimes but that it is not acceptable to believe that anyone has to stay in a ‘bad place’
- All individuals can find their valued place within community
The 10:10 Ethic is also often articulated as having the following positive disciplines:
- Know yourself
- Be an agent for good
- Understand weakness
- Accept Support
- Engage Fully
- Stretch

Our mission: value the gifts of all our members, strive for excellence and look outward to the world.
In practice this means we:
- Develop in all individuals a respect for themselves and for others and a love of God
- Release the potential of each individual and equip them for life, preparing them for works of service
- Be a safe place in which mistakes can be made - learned from - forgiven
- Be an institution which is a force for good in the community
- Broaden students’ horizons and nurture their faith, to offer opportunities, enrichment and enjoyment
- Encourage care for others before ourselves and the stewardship of the world
By doing this we affirm God’s love for every individual seen in Jesus Christ. A simple expression of this, used consistently at all levels of the institution, is our 10:10 Ethic (see Ethos & Core Values page).
Our strategy: Over the next three-five years we as a trust aim to:
- Continue to provide excellent education that nurtures students’ gifts and prepares them for life
- Extend our positive impact by deepening and broadening the contribution we make in the wider local and educational communities
- Be a centre of excellence for the training and development of teaching and support staff
- Ensure our physical environment and equipment supports an excellent learning experience and contributes to net zero
Our objectives: To deliver on these aims we need to pursue four strategic organisational objectives:
- A financially sustainable and efficient operating model for delivering high quality education
- Three full and thriving sixth forms that provide broad progression opportunities for Trust students and others in West London
- Recruitment and retention of excellent teachers in West London, enabled by the Teach West London Hub growing its reach scale, benefitting both the Trust and other West London schools
- Develop and pursue a viable long-term plan for estates and IT renewal funded by sufficient operational surpluses
