We start the week with some fantastic news that a Twyford CofE High School student was selected as the winner of the 2023-24 Alice Gross Memorial Song Writing Award.
Eden is a Year 12 Music Tech student who won the competition with an entry titled 'I Don't know'.
We are delighted that 5 of the 7 runners up are students within the Twyford CofE Academies Trust - congratulations to Elizabeth from William Perkin who wrote ''I'm Fine', Lottie from Ealing Fields who wrote 'See Me', Olivia from Twyford who wrote 'Let Go', Marcella from Twyford who wrote 'One Step At a Time' and Alice from Twyford who wrote 'Upset'.
The Judges mentioned that they thought this was the highest quality of songs they have ever had submitted and this was the highest number of entrants to the competition in the history of the Award.
